1. Do you have a legend? What do the flags mean?
To help explain some of the most frequently asked questions we'll start with the following legend.

1 Album art. Clicking on album art will do a search by artist's name listing the first 20 items in stock listed alphabetically by title.
2 Artist's Name : Album Title : Media
Artist's Name : "Various Artists" is the name of the main artist or band (in the case of compilations you will usually see "Various Artists" listed). Clicking on this band name will do a search by artist's name listing the first 20 items in stock listed alphabetically by title.
Album Title : "Coronal Mass Ejection" is the title of this release.
Media : "CD" is the media.
3 "Voidstar Production" is the record label that this release was produced under. If you click it you will get the first 20 items listed alphabetically by artist that have been release by the label.
4 "Featuring: AEC..." As Coronal Mass Ejection is a compilation it has numerous artists on it. Clicking the name of any of these artists will search for every item we have in stock that that artists has released or is on.
5 $10.00 is the price of this release not including shipping and handling charged or any required taxes. For shipping and handling see 7].
6 "in stock". This indicates what our last inventory indicates. There are three possibilities:
In Stock : indicates that to the best of our knowledge this item is in stock and ready to ship upon order.
Available On Demand : This indicates that we are sold out but may be able to get this item in stock if you request it. Please contact us before adding this to an order.
Unavailable : This indicates that the item is not only sold out but out of print and our past attempts to get this in stock have been unsuccessfull. If you care about this item and find it anywhere we recomend snagging it right away. If you find out that it is being re-released we appreciate a message to let us know so we can potentially get this back in stock.
7 "buy now from" : The flags indicate the shipping charges. As we are located in the United States we have 3 shipping charges based on where your package needs to be sent:
If you want your order shipped to the United States, click the United States Flag
If you want your order shipped to the Canada, click the Canadian Flag
If you want your order shipped anywhere else on the planet, click the globe
If you can suggest a simpler way to do this feel free keeping in mind that it must be understood by people who speak languages other than english and must take up very little space.

2. How do I find what I'm looking for?
Searching can be done based on the "Artist" name, "Title" of the release or the "Label" that the release was produced on.
Clicking on any artist's name that you see will search for all items by that artist.
If more than 20 items are retrieved by a search the first 20 will be displayed and a pull down menu will show in the top of the page to select the next 20 items.
You can also "Browse" all artists who's name starts with any letter.
Finally if you wish to see a list of every artist we have in stock, every label we have a release by and every artist who even appears on a compilation or makes a guest appearance, you can click go to the browse page at http://www.noisebase.com/voidstore/browse.php.

8. Why should I buy through the Voidstore?
Here's a few reasons:
-
We often have rare and hard to find releases that you will have difficulty finding anywhere else.
-
The majority of the music sold here has been bought or consigned directly from the artist or independent record label which means more of the money you spend here goes to the artists you love. When you buy a major label release at a chainstore on the other hand 1/16th of your money might get into the hands of the artist by the time everyone else gets their cut.
-
The rest of the money is usually recycled to increase what we have in stock.
-
Almost nothing here is associated with the RIAA or any major label.
-
The majority of what you will find here can not be found in any chain music store.
-
We specialize in anything we can look you in the eyes and tell you this is something you should own. We love industrial music, i.d.m., noise, power electronics, rhythmic noise, breakcore, digital hardcore, experiemental, ambient and oddities that don't fit any genre. That's why we stock it.
-
The Voidstore is an independent music store run by Deftly-D (a.k.a. David Dodson) as a labor of love. Deftly is a veteran industrial musician and DJ that has been activly involved in the music that he sells since 1991 and has invested his savings into making this collection of music available to you at a time when chain record stores are crumbling.
-
We often put goodies and surprises in our orders that ship out. That said, we don't suggest having your parents open the package for you. At least one customer complained that his mom freaked when she saw some of the extra gifts he received.

10. Who the hell is this dolt who calls himself Deftly?
Deftly-D (a.k.a. David Dodson) is the sole owner, investor, and employee of The Voidstore who handles your orders, answers your questions and does the majority of all packaging and shipping. He is also a DJ, promoter, producer, musician, programmer, graphic artist, noise artist, performance artist, and mentor to numerous other artists.
Currently he composes and performs in the bands Nau-Zee-auN, Abstinence, and Zero Times Infinity and makes occassional guest appearances with other bands including Terrorfakt, Caustic, Tragedie Ann, Pneumatic Detach, Zipperspy, and Massdirge to name a few often seen shooting sparks at audiences with a grinder or smashing piles of metal with a sledgehammer. Don't worry. He is much more gentile when packaging your orders.
